The women's golf team started off the busy week with a big swing. The girls were back in action at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club competing against area-competitor Etowah. It was a sunny afternoon after the rain passed through the area, and left the golf course with wet patches. This was the second time Lambert played this course this season, and the scores reflected their knowledge of the greens. Scores were kept in the traditional format and the modified Stableford system. At the end of the afternoon, the Lady Longhorns came away with the W! (9 holes/Par 36)
Lambert (Team Score: 113)
Kate Owens: 35 (-1)
Christine McDonnell: 37 (+1)
Loren Kim: 41 (+5)
Alison Crenshaw: 42 (+6)
Etowah (Team Score: 136)
#1: 36 (E)
#2: 49 (+13)
#3: 54 (+18)
#4: 51 (+15)
The modified Stableford system is used to speed up the pace of play. It awards points for the following:
*Double bogey = 1 point
*Bogey = 2 points
*Par = 4 points
*Birdie = 5 points
*Eagle = 6 points
Stableford scores: Kate (36), Christine (33), Alison (22), & Loren (22).
